Chapel in the Hills is an independent church guided by our pastor and an elected church board which meets monthly to discuss the spiritual and business matters of the church.
Reverend Denham
I have had the delightful pleasure of being called to be the pastor at Chapel in the Hills, twice. I first started to serve here in 1999 and left in 2008 for five years to serve at Chapel by the Sea, on South Padre Island, Texas. But with lots of prayer and a big surprise the Chapel in the Hills pastorate opened up again and I was asked to come back to begin my second tenure here in 2014. I love the interdenominational emphasis of our Church and the ongoing emphasis on Harmony.
Previously I had served as Director of Chaplains in Austin with the Seton Hospital System for eleven years and before that pastored a small church in East Texas in Nacogdoches for four years. I had served with several other churches and Chaplaincy positions before that. Prior to entering the ministry I worked in the business world and served in the U. S. Army.
I am appreciative of my education degrees that I received from the University of Texas in Austin, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and from the Chaplaincy training program (CPE) with the Baptist Hospital System in San Antonio, Texas.
I authored a book, Answer Day, that was published in 2017 and I continue to enjoy writing and hope to be published again soon.
My wife Molly and I started our blended family in 1995 and thus share our three daughters and two grandsons. Molly served as an educator for many years and retired in 2017. We live here in Wimberley out the Kyle Highway with our two rescue dogs and far too many deer to number.

Through the sharing of our talents, skills, resources and most importantly our love for one another, the members of the Chapel are actively involved in groups or activities that fulfill Gods commandment that we love one another as He has loved us. We welcome your interest or involvement in any of our Ministries.
Fellowship

We celebrate our relationship with our Community each Sunday that we gather. We also invite the Community to share these special gatherings at the Chapel throughout the year.

Chapel in the Hills honors its foundation as a Community Church by active participation with community organizations and hosting community events. Our doors are always open for those who seek fellowship, a way to make a difference in the world in which we live and to strengthen the ties that bind us one to another.
